Interview: Siena Agudong, star of Netflix's "No Good Nick"

Siena Agudong is a leading lady at 14 years old! The Hawaiian native plays the title role in the new Netflix series No Good Nick, opposite of Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin. Siena plays Nick, a street smart con-artist who makes her way into the home of Liz and Ed, played by Melissa and Sean. This highly anticipated family sitcom premieres TODAY on Netflix! Young Entertainment Mag: So how did you first get involved in acting?
Siena Agudong: I first started acting when I was inspired by my sister, haha! Like an annoying little sister tends to do, I always copied my big sister (Sydney) ! She started doing plays, so I did plays as well. I loved it so much that I knew I wanted to pursue it as a career! I ended up signing with my manager, Susie Mains of Trilogy Talent (who I met at a local workshop I attended) and an agent, AEFH Talent, and they started sending me out on auditions. 🙂

YEM: You are starring in the new Netflix show “No Good Nick.” Can you tell us a bit about the show?
Siena: AHH! I am so incredibly excited to talk about “No Good Nick”! I play a teenager that moves in with a foster family without them knowing of her actual plan to ruin their lives! It is a live-action dramedy that makes you laugh, cry, and “OH MY GOSH” all the time! Every episode leaves you with a cliff hanger to watch the next show. SO… if you need another binge watching show…hint hint wink wink!

YEM: So, you play the title character, Nick. What is Nick like?
Siena: Nick is a lover of gas station pizza and Rocky and Bullwinkle Cartoons. Nick is very quick-witted. But she can be manipulating, sneaky and sarcastic. She is always one step ahead of everyone! Nick has a schemeful way of charming those around her, but she always has a secret agenda!

YEM: Also, what is it like to work with Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin?
Siena: Oh my gosh! I can’t even begin to express how amazing it is to work with Ms. Melissa and Mr. Sean every day! They are such amazing role models for me to look up to! I have the honor to work with them and be inspired by their talent on set every day and watch them do their thing!! Not only are they incredible actors, but they are amazing and very special people! I feel so blessed and privileged to be around such talented, loving and positive souls every day.

YEM: Also, our readers recognize you from the show Star Falls. What was it like to be a part of that show?
Siena: Star Falls was so fun to film! It was the first time I traveled out of the country since the show was filmed in Toronto. A lot of our scenes were filmed on this street in a small town! It was such a great experience with an awesome cast and crew. As the character, Sophia, I was able to do so many crazy things, like fall in the mud, crawl under a house platform, run around in an owl suit, and so much more!

YEM: Finally, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Siena: I love to hang out with my family and play games with them. I love to spend my day laughing with friends or family and go to the beach to surf if possible! Soccer is also a huge passion of mine so I try to play whenever I can!
