Walt Disney Animation Studios Reveals Details and Concept Art for All-New Original Feature Film!

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released concept art for their 61st animated feature coming out November 23, 2022 called Strange World!

Disney once again takes fans into imaginative discoveries full of curiosities and fantastic places. The film is an original action-adventure that journeys deep into uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission.

Here’s what we know so far:

According to Oscar-winning director Don Hall, Strange World is a nod to pulp magazines, meaning it’s inspired by popular fiction from the first half of the 20th century that was printed on inexpensive wood pulp paper.
“I loved reading the old issues of pulps growing up,” Hall said. “They were big adventures in which a group of explorers might discover a hidden world or ancient creatures. They’ve been a huge inspiration for ‘Strange World.’”
Directed by Hall, who previously directed the Oscar winning Big Hero 6, and the recent Raya and the Last Dragon, as well as fan-favorite Winnie the Pooh.
Co-director/ writer Qui Nguyen, who also was the co-writer on Raya and the Last Dragon, will be teaming up with Hall again.
The film will be produced by Roy Conli, who also produced Big Hero 6, and Tangled.

Originally set under the working title, “Searcher Clade,” the plot details for Strange World are still limited. The new concept art gives us a little taste of what’s to come!
